Kindtoall Apply Assistant Privacy Policy
Effective October 2, 2026. This policy explains what the resident-facing Kindtoall Apply Assistant browser extension processes and how your control is preserved.
Scan ≠ Fill ≠ Submit
You ask Kind to scan, you review proposed Passport matches, you approve any fill, and you decide whether to submit. The extension never submits a form for you.
Scope
This policy applies to the Kindtoall Apply Assistant browser extension, the resident-facing companion that helps you reuse your own Kindtoall Passport answers and Evidence Wallet documents on external forms. The general Kindtoall Privacy Policy also applies to your Kindtoall account and related services.
Organization staff tools are provided by a separate product, Kindtoall Terminal, and are covered by their own policy page.
Information the extension uses
After you sign in, Apply Assistant retrieves information associated with your Kindtoall account: Passport answers, approved Passport snapshots, and your Evidence Wallet document list. It reads only your own records, enforced by row-level security on the Kindtoall backend.
The extension does not create a separate desktop profile. Everything it shows is the same account data the mobile application uses.
Active-tab access
Kindtoall does not continuously monitor your browsing. The extension requests temporary access to the active browser tab only when you press Scan Page for Fields.
During a scan it reads form-field labels, names, input types, placeholders, and accessibility labels on that page to compare them against your Passport. If the page cannot be safely matched, the extension tells you so instead of guessing.
Scan ≠ Fill ≠ Submit
Scanning identifies candidate fields. Filling happens only after you review each proposed value and approve the fill action, field by field.
The extension never clicks a final submit button, accepts a certification, or signs a form for you. You review, correct, complete, and submit the form yourself. Kindtoall also never assumes a page redirect means a submission succeeded — an application is only marked submitted when you press "I submitted this application."
Document handling
Documents you upload are stored in your Kindtoall Evidence Wallet, the same protected storage used by the mobile app. Previewing a document generates a short-lived link that expires after a few minutes and only works for your own files.
No document is attached to an external form or shared with an organization without an explicit action by you.
Storage on your device
The extension stores your signed-in session and popup state in extension-scoped browser storage so you stay signed in. Signing out clears the Kindtoall session and cached data from the extension. Removing the extension deletes its local storage from that browser profile.
Do not remain signed in on shared or public computers.
Retention and deletion
Account data is retained as described in the general Kindtoall Privacy Policy. Preparation records for external applications (page title, address, and your progress state) are stored in your account so you can resume later; you can delete them through your account.
Account deletion requests follow the same process as the mobile application. Extension-scoped session data is removed by signing out or uninstalling.
Sharing and external websites
Kindtoall does not sell personal information and does not use Passport, document, or form-scan information for advertising.
When you fill and submit a form on an external website, that organization receives what you placed into its form under its own privacy policy. Kindtoall does not control external systems.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the extension changes. The effective date below is updated when revisions are published.
